The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services has proposed a rule to slow boats in one of the Manatees major habitats, Kings Bay in Crystal River, Florida. Slowing the speed of boats can help protect the manatees and make people aware of their presence.
Opponents are trying to discourage the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and to prevent enactment of this proposal.
The HSUS asks that you send a polite message to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services in support of their proposal and continued protection of these gentle creatures.
