Tomini Bristletooth Tang

The Tomini Bristletooth Tang (also called the Tomini Surgeonfish) is found in Indonesia, Solomon Islands and Palau. As a juvenile, it is tan combined with yellow, blue, and white highlights. As an adult,
the tail becomes blue, and the dorsal and anal fins are tipped with a golden-yellow hue.

Males and females are both 5.5 in. Some other tang species may be aggressive toward the Tomini. The minimum size tank is 80 gal. Feed freeze-dried worms, brine shrimp, algae, and vegetarian items such as Spirulina, zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce, and dried seaweed. Having a Tomini Bristletooth in the tank will control algae, including in a reef tank.
