Beaglemania by Linda O. Johnston is a delightful read in a new series by the author called Pet Rescue Mysteries. It’s obvious throughout the book that Ms. Johnston is a strong animal supporter advocating for homeless pets and no-kill shelters. Her new heroine is Lauren Vancouver, who manages a no-kill private shelter. If you are an animal lover (and we all are) you’ll find this book, the first in the series, very enjoyable as well as being an intriguing mystery.
