Waggin’ Train LLC, wholly owned subsidiary of Nestle Purina PetCare Company, announced it is voluntarily withdrawing its Waggin’ Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats sold in the U.S. until further notice.
The New York State Department of Agriculture and markets found trace amounts of antibiotics in samples of these products. These antibiotics while approved for use in China and other countries including the European Union members, are not allowed for use in the U.S. The U.S. does allow use of other antibiotics in animals.
