Breeder’s Choice Pet Food, manufacturers of AvoDerm Dog Food, have recalled a product suspected of possible salmonella contamination.

The product involved in the recall is:

Code 1000065074, UPC Code 0 5290702043 8, 26 lbs., AvoDerm Natural Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Adult Dog Formula. Best before 28 Aug. 2013, 29 Aug 2013, 30 Aug 2013.

Breeder’s Choice has taken immediate action and is investigating the cause.

The product was distributed to retailers and other distributors in California, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, Virginia and Washington.
