The Serengeti is an American breed. It was created by Karen Sausman in 1995. In spite of its appearance, the Serengeti has no wild blood and is a relative of the Bengal and the Oriental.

What does the Serengeti look like?

The Serengeti is a medium-size cat, squarely built, with long legs. Eyes are round. Ears are long with rounded tips. The coat is short and smooth. Colors are yellow to gold, gray and silver, all with black spots and solid black.

Is the Serengeti a good pet?

The Serengeti is a wonderful pet. It may be shy at first, but soon becomes very affectionate and wants to be close and touching its human. It loves to sit in high places and can be very active. The Serengeti is highly intelligent and very gentle.
