Travel with a pet can be both fun and rewarding. It does, however, require a bit of advanced planning. Not all lodgings and attractions will accept pets and those that do may have a size limit. Other restrictions may apply, such as restraining the animal or keeping it away from certain areas. Another thing to consider is how your pet will get to your destination. Are you flying, driving or using public transportation? How does that affect your pet?

You may decide that while family vacations are fun, you prefer to leave your pet home this time. Arrangements must be made for your pet’s care while you are away. You may be able to ask a friend or neighbor to take over for you or you may choose to board your pet with professionals while you are away.
