Registration for a free eye exam program exclusively for service dogs begins today and runs through May 16, 2010. For the third consecutive year, the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) and Merial are sponsoring free eye exams for canines that selflessly serve the public, including guide dogs, handicapped assistance dogs, detection dogs and search and rescue dogs. Because their guardians rely on these amazing animals for so much, it’s vital to keep their peepers shiny, focused and bright. Check out more details on the ACVO website.
