Where is the Peterbald Cat from?
The Peterbald was originally a cross between the Russian Don hairless, the Oriental Shorthair and the Siamese. While it is the newest breed of hairless cat, it’s often bald only on the head, neck and upper back. The body shometimes has a short wavy coat.
This breed was first discovered in 1988 in Moscow, Russia by an owner whose female cat shed her fur and gave birth to hairless and normal-coat kittens. This is a breed in progress and is very rare.
Temperament
Peterbalds are sweet-tempered, affectionate, peaceful, curious, smart and energetic. They get along well with other cats and with other pets and children. They are loyal and loving to their owners as well as friendly to strangers. They can be kept in a small apartment.
