How much food should I purchase for my pet at one time?

Kibble

Our pets enjoy fresh food and most will turn up their noses at the stale stuff. So please don’t purchase more than a month’s supply of dry food for your pet, especially in warm weather and where bugs can get at the food. The size of a month’s supply can vary depending on your pet’s size or how many pets you have. If you use canned food, keep any leftovers in the refrigerator, not more than a couple of days. If you make your own food, freeze portion sizes until the day you use them. Defrost well, pets don’t like to eat icy food. You can freeze the portions for up to 2-3 weeks. Wash your pet’s bowls as you would your own dishes. And keep fresh water available for your pet all the time.
