The U.S. House of Representatives is voting on July 7 on a bill that will block the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from cracking down on the domestic illegal ivory trade and will remove wolves from the endangered species list.
This spending bill could mean the extinction of elephants and possibly wolves as the savage hunt will begin in earnest.
Representatives Grijalva and Hanna are offering an amendment to the bill that would remove the ivory rider and Representative Tsongas is offering an amendment removing the wolf rider.
Your U.S. Representative needs to hear from you. Please make a brief, polite phone call to Rep. John Lewis at (202) 225-3801 right now. You can say, “I’m a constituent and I would like you to protect wolves and elephants. Please vote “yes” on the Grijalva-Hanna ivory amendment and Tsongas wolf amendment to the Interior Appropriations bill.”
