IMS Trading Corporation announced a voluntary withdrawal of its Cadet Brand Chicken Jerky Treat products in the U.S.
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets found traces of antibiotic residue in tested samples of Cadet Brand Chicken Jerky Treat products.
The trace antibiotic found are approved for use in China , EU member countries and others, but NOT in the U.S.
IMS claims the trace amount of the antibiotics in the product do not pose a health or pet safety risk. The antibiotic residue is not linked to the FDA’s investigation of chicken jerky products.
