This Retriever is 22-25 inches tall and weighs 60-79 lbs. The head is long with a long deep muzzle. Ears are small, pendant and thickly feathered, lying close to the head. The tail is carried almost horizontally. The coat is thick and straight, medium length and lies flat. Colors are solid black or liver. The coat should be brushed weekly.

Sweet-tempered, lively and playful, this Retriever bonds very closely with their family. they should have early obedience training and socialization to avoid problems.
