Proctor & Gamble has expanded its pet food recall due to possible salmonella contamination as a precautionary measure, to include the following:
Iams Veterinary Dry Formulas, all dry sizes and varieties, all UPC codes, best by dates 01/07/10 – 01/12/11.
Eukanuba Naturally Wild, all dry sizes and varieties, all UPC codes, best by dates 01/07/10 – 01/12/11.
Eukanuba Pure, all dry sizes and varieties, all UPC codes, best by dates 01/07/10 – 01/12/11.
Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive Skin, all dry sizes, all UPC codes, best by dates 01/07/10 – 01/12/11.
These products are sold in veterinary clinics and pet shops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since it is one specialized facility where these products are made, P&G has announced the recall although no illnesses have been reported.
Do not continue to feed these products. If your pet shows any signs of illness, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
