What are some good toys for ferrets?

I don't think that my ferret is stimulated enough. What toys can I get him to keep him stimulated and happy?

Ferrets are active pets and will choose their own toys (things you rather they didn't), so it's best to provide the appropriate ones for them. The toys need to be durable with no small parts that could be choking hazards. Hard plastic toys, toys that make noise, cardboard boxes, paper or cloth bags that can be used for hiding or sleeping are all good.  Large parrot toys made of wood with bells and/or thick ropes are fun as well as teething rings,  Don't give your ferret toys made of rubber or latex like dog toys. Their sharp teeth can make short work of them and they can cause obstructions if swallowed. Always check toys to remove any hanging strings, or for sharp edges or broken pieces to avoid any accidents.
