My German Shepherd was just diagnosed with hip dysplasia. What is the treatment?

Hip dysplasia is a common problem in German Shepherds and mainly other large breeds. Depending on how severe the hip dysplasia is, there are several things to do. Supplements such as those with glucosamine/chondroitin/msm can help. Acupuncture, acupressure, massage, all have proven to ease pain and increase motion. In severe cases of hip dysplasia, hip replacement is recommended.
