Is my teething puppy in pain?

My puppy is teething and chews everything. Is he in pain? If he is, what can I do to help him?

Teething is painful for puppies just as it is for human babies. Offer your pup safe toys to chew on. There are "teething rings" for dogs that can be frozen and then offered to the dog to chew to ease the pain. Alternatively you can freeze a wash cloth or some other safe material and let the pup chew. You can also take a few minutes to gently massage the pup's gums. Thankfully, teething is not a long process.
