Do snakes have bones?

Snakes seem to slither in all directions. Do they have bones or is the body made of something else, like cartilidge?

Yes, snakes have a spine, skull and ribs. Their spinal column contains over 200 individual vertebrae which gives them flexibility. Their upper and lower jaws can separate allowing them to eat prey sometimes 3 times the size of the opening.
