Changing color is dependant on a number of things such as mood, temperature, light and more. Female chameleons don't change color as often or as strikingly as males. Try holding a mirror up to your pet and see if the image of another chameleon forces color change. If you suspect that your chameleon is ill, you should take him to a vet that specializes in exotic pets.
