We have a road trip that we've planned and we'd like to take our dog with us, but he gets nervous in the car. I'd hate to have to leave him in a kennel, but I don't want to put too much stress on him. What's the best way to handle this?
Begin training your dog in the car by taking him out for short rides. Increase the amount of time in the car gradually. But please, if you take your dog out while doing your errands, DO NOT leave him in a parked car.
