Is it OK to let my dog eat snow?

My dog likes to catch snowflakes in his mouth. Can I let him? Do I have to be worried about polutants?

A little bit of snow won't do any harm. But keep in mind that snow does contain polutants and bacteria, even fresh, faling snow. And snow that has been around a while can contain other contaminants. Don't allow your dog to consume large amounts of snow, but a bite here and there is okay.
