Recal of Purina Poultry Feed

Land O’Lakes Purina brand has issued a voluntary recall of some varieties of poultry feed due to insufficient levels of Vitamin D. Too low levels of Vitamin D in birds can cause weakness, fractures, joint problems and potentially, death.

The feed was manufactured between May 23rd and July 20th, 2012 at the Milford, Indiana, Nashville, Tennessee and St. Joseph, Missouri feed plants.

Products manufactured after July 20th have added Vitamin D.

Check the FDA recall site for further information.
