How many pet owners make their pets the prime beneficiary in their wills?

There's no exact number known, but a high percentage of people do create trusts for their pets. Since pets by law are considered personal property, one cannot leave them money. But provisions can be put in a will for the car of pets after the owner dies. Consulting with a lawyer is necessary to draw up a trust.
