Are frogs bad luck?

+1 vote

It sounds like a superstition to me, but I recently heard that frogs are bad luck. If it is a superstition, where does it come from?

Myths and superstitions have been handed down from generation  to generation. Depending on your culture, what part of the world you live in, frogs are considered both good luck and bad luck.  Some peoples believe that frogs bring rain. If you live in a drought area this can be a good thing.  Other people believe frogs can kill a roomful of mosquitoes with one breath. Frogs and toads have been blamed for warts which as we now know is not true - they are caused by a virus. So the answer is that if you believe, frogs can bring both good and evil.
