Are cockatiels good pets for kids?

Cockatiels are wonderful pets for anyone. Of course it depends on the age of the child and if the child can be supervised during care and play. Cockatiels or any bird may not be right for very young children even with adult supervision. Purchase one that has been hand raised. With time and patience some can be taught to talk a bit. As long as you can give them the proper care and attention, they make wonderful pets.
