Feeding an octopus is expensive and can be challenging. Their mainstays are shrimp and crabs and other crustaceans. If you live in coastal areas, they are more easily available, either by fishing for them yourself or at local fish shops. They may cost a bit less because of availability. If you live inland, the cost of shipping is high and there can be delays. This could mean that you have an extra supply frozen on hand.
