How can I get my new cat to eat?

Try to determine what your cat's favorite food is by offering a different variety at each meal.  Allow her to eat where there's little noise and foot traffic so there will be nothing to frighten her. Place the food down and leave her alone. When she's hungry enough and trusts that she is safe, she will eat.  However if she continues not eating, take her to the vet to check if there are any medical reasons preventing her from eating.
