Why does my cat eat bread?

My cat loves bread. She's even willing to chew through the plastic bag to get at it. I though cats were carnivores. Why is my cat eating bread when she has perfectly good cat food to eat?

Cats can be finnicky eaters and it's sometimes amazing what food attracts them. A small amount of bread won't harm your cat, but never let her eat uncooked dough. The yeast is a danger. Cats are true carnivores and in order to remain healthy, meat is the most important ingredient in their diet. Keep the bread where your cat can't reach it and try giving her a small piece once in a while.
