Can a frog and a toad get along in the same aquarium?

I have a frog and I'm thinking about getting a toad. Can I put them in the same aquarium?

Toads are a different species of frog, but that doesn't mean they all get along. It depends on the species of each to keep them together. For example, large tree frogs can make a meal of a toad. The population of wild toads and frogs is declining, so purchase only captive-bred. Check local laws about keeping frogs and toads as pets. Unless you've done your researh and learn which varieties get along, it may be a good idea to keep them separated to avoid accidents.
