It was developed by a veterinarian to help save cats from the declawing procedure. The caps are made of vinyl and are glued to the tips of your cat's claws. They prevent damage when your cat wants to scratch.

One package of Soft Claws contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of non-toxic adhesive, applicator tips and an easy instruction sheet. The manufacturer claims that there should be enough nail caps for 4 applications on front claws. Since each application is supposed to last about 4-6 weeks, one package can last 4-6 months.
